If you are a woman experiencing frequent stress or overwhelm, I have created this free meditation for you. For over 20 years, I have worked with women to help them ease anxiety, stress and overwhelm and create calmness and clarity.
Did you know that according to research, 75%-90% of doctor visits are stress-related?(www.stress.org) When you feel stressed, your body releases a stress-hormone called Cortisol. Cortisol can slow your metabolism, impair your sleep and cause mood fluctuations.
Stress can manifest as physical, emotional or psychological symptoms. These symptoms can worsen during the feminine hormonal cycle. Hormones also play a factor related to higher stress levels in women during perimenopause and menopause. Women may experience a decline in muscle mass and strength, libido, symptoms of hot flashes, mood fluctuations and changes in weight due to a decrease in estrogen levels.
Thankfully there are natural practices to help manage stress and anxiety and allow you to bring peace and calmness into your life. These practices include Meditation and breathwork.
Learning to breathe deeply and mindfully promotes a state of calmness, by oxygenating our brain and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. Through simple mindfulness and breathing practices we can peel back the layers of unresolved emotions and heal ourselves from the inside out.
